While our primary public health concern at this moment is COVID – and rightly so – I’m making some efforts to help make sure that the deadly common flu is not forgotten this year. Many of the most vulnerable are staying home to avoid exposure to COVID, raising concerns that flu shot rates will be much lower this year.
While the COVID vaccine is not yet available, we do have a means of preventing tens of thousands of deaths from influenza. I think it’s a public service to remind our website users that flu shots are still needed.
So, I was wondering if you would be willing to add some helpful information on flu shots alongside the the COVID-19 information you are providing. I’d recommend these two additions to your page, one covering everything related to the Flu Vaccine, and, if interested, a second about general seasonal health for seniors.
Either way, please do let me know if you could add this to your collection of helpful resources – it would be very much appreciated! Or, please just let me know if you’d prefer that I do not contact you. If you’re not the right contact (I found you on the website), it would be much appreciated if you could point me in the right direction.
